Children

Nursery

Ages birth - 4 years | 8:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. | Downstairs in the Education Building

Incarnation encourages families to worship together. We also understand the need for loving and nurturing childcare on Sunday mornings. Babies and children are welcome in the nursery, located in the Christian Education Building. Parents are encouraged to bring diapers, a change of clothes and bottles or snacks.

Kingdom Kids

Ages 3 years (Potty Trained) - 1st Grade | 8:45 a.m. – Holy Communion in the 9:00 a.m. services | Downstairs in the Education Building

God said in Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." Children's church need not be a time of constant activity and noise, but it should be joyful. This program seeks to help prepare your child for "big church," while still incorporating time to worship as a family! This is an alternative for our younger parishioners, of course, your children are encouraged to worship with you for the entire service in the church or chapel, as you choose! Kingdom Kids includes playtime, a short homily and then a procession to the Church and Chapel to join their family for Holy Communion.

Godly Play

Ages 3 – Grade 3 | 10:20 a.m. – 11:05 a.m. | Upstairs in the Education Building
(Beginning August 23)

Godly Play is a Montessori approach to teaching Bible stories, the Sacraments, and sacred time to children. It utilizes a discovery method of teaching with well-designed, developmentally appropriate story-telling materials in a child-scale classroom. The goal is that children come to know God—not just about God—and prepare to participate more fully in parish worship and service as they grow older. NOTE: Children must be potty-trained to participate in Godly Play. Please register your child(ren).

I-45

Grades 4 and 5 | 10:20 a.m. – 11:05 a.m. | Upstairs in the Education Building
(Beginning August 23)

I-45 is an exciting new ministry program exclusively for fourth and fifth graders, designed to introduce them to a deeper level of Christian discipleship, as well as help prepare them for the unique challenges and opportunities they will encounter in young adolescence. Sunday mornings will include a high energy teaching time, small group breakout sessions, and fun activities and games. There will also be opportunities for fellowship and service outside of the classroom.
