The Incarnation School of Theology (IST)
The Incarnation/Wycliffe is a partnership between the Diocese of Dallas, the Church of the Incarnation, and Wycliffe College, an evangelical and Anglican theological college in Toronto, Canada. It aims to provide a limited number of courses accredited through Wycliffe with the Association of Theological Schools but based at Incarnation. These courses will allow potential students to test their vocations and to get a head start in study; they are also appropriate for those preparing for the diaconate, for clergy continuing education, and for auditing by interested lay people.
The Diocese of Dallas wishes its seminarians to spend at least a full year in a residential seminary, where a more intense formational and educational experience is possible. Courses taken at the IST would count toward an Master of Divinity (M.Div) degree at Wycliffe, and may be taken one-at-a-time or on a part-time basis. Students need to spend at least one full year in residence in Toronto to complete the M.Div. Housing and bursary help are available, and health insurance and permission for a spouse to work are automatic. Wycliffe has 260 students, includes a strong Institute of Evangelism, a pioneer ministry stream, and courses in international development as well as youth ministry. The writings of its prolific faculty can be found on its website. Costs: $ 250 to audit; $800 for credit.
All interested person should email Prof Chris Seitz.
