The DCMSA received the Texas Medical Association State Award for Dedication to the Mission for the 2010 Health Fair
The event is free to the public, targeting those who live in the East Dallas area, and is an easy way to bring children’s shots up to date.
Immunizations will be provided by the Dallas County Health Department. The clinic will feature the free immunizations, a bicycle safety course, an “Ask the Doctor” booth, a Zumba Dance demonstration, an “Ask the Attorney” booth and health screenings, including mammogram appointments and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) will provide information on Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, free screenings will be given and The Dallas County Medical Society Project Access will provide free sports physicals for students.
A bicycle helmet and bicycle give away will also take place with a limited number of donations. The Dallas Police Central Patrol Neighborhood Patrol Office will sponsor a bicycle safety course at the Health Fair. There will be a limited number of bicycles and helmets given away.
New and used bicycles in good condition are needed for the giveaway. Cash donations will be used to purchase school supplies, school uniforms and bus passes for students who participate in after school sports activities and need transportation home. Donations are tax deductible and donors will receive receipts.

The DCMSA received the Texas Medical Association State Award for Dedication to the Mission for the 2010 Health Fair Chaired by Sandy Secor and co–chaired by Michelle Anderson. Last year this event helped 400 people, administered 279 free immunizations and 40 sports physicals and gave away 20 bicycles and 120 bicycle helmets.
The event is sponsored by Church of the Incarnation and Dallas County Medical Society Alliance (DCMSA). Carol Lichliter, Vice-President, Health Projects, DCMSA, and Sandy Secor and Michelle Anderson, Co-Presidents, DCMSA are chairing the event. This event would not be possible without the help of Christy Herrscher, Mission 75204 Project Manager, Church of the Incarnation; Martha Lang, Director of Outreach, Church of the Incarnation and all of our volunteers and sponsors.
