Services

The Church of the Incarnation partners with this agency throughout the year by providing volunteers to serve dinner on Thursdays and teach a Godly Play story to the resident children; Provide GED tutoring and training on parenting and life skills to the residents; Assist with the Angel Food pantry program one Saturday a month; and serve as a host family for new residents by preparing apartments for move-in and providing ongoing support during their stay.

Longtime volunteer, Anne Spradley, has taught Godly Play to the children who live at Interfaith while their parents attend budgeting and job skill classes. She says that she receives more than she gives when teaching the stories to the children.

“It is heart-warming to see the families graduate to an apartment of their own. I hope that Godly Play stories the children hear each week at Interfaith will plant a seed. And that this seed will grow and help the children know and remember that God is with them always. I feel it is a privilege to take the word to the precious children of IHC.”

Volunteer Opportunities

Serve dinner on Thursdays and teach a Godly Play story to the resident children.
