Angel Tree
Church of the Incarnation has had an Angel Tree food and gift drive each Christmas since the 1960’s. Our mission is to share the joys and blessings of the Christmas season with families from our parish neighborhood who are in need of support and assistance. Families are selected by DISD counselors. Parishioners are asked to adopt a family and help those less fortunate with gifts and food.

Kam Bakewell and her extended family of step-siblings adopt a family each year in lieu of getting gifts for one another:
“I take my children with me to go shopping for the family. It is a wonderful way to teach them about giving and caring for those less fortunate and it gives them a chance to participate by helping me select the toys. I think it is a great opportunity for families or groups to band together and bring the joy of the season and the good news to those in need.”
Services
Families are needed to donate dry and canned goods along with Christmas gifts for each child and parent in a family.
