Brotherhood of St. Andrew
All men and youth are invited to participate in Brotherhood of St. Andrew at Church of the Incarnation. Founded in 1883, this worldwide organization of men in the Episcopal Anglican Communion has a sole mission to bring men and youth into a personal relationship with Christ through the disciplines of prayer, study and service. Incarnation’s chapter, established in 1921, serves in a variety of ways from sponsoring the Wednesday Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study to ministering to youth in a Juvenile Treatment Center. The Brotherhood also offers friendship and fun through the sponsorship of Family Night at the Ballpark, the July 4th Ice Cream Social, a men’s barbecue and a golf tournament benefiting Habitat for Humanity. Dues to the national organization are $30 per year.
Growth Groups
Growth Groups consist of 15-20 persons who gather to share a meal, worship, study and pray. Groups typically meet in homes every other week, and the meetings last a little less than two hours. Although the groups have their own distinct personality, each group is open to anyone who wants to join. The primary purpose of Growth Groups is to encourage growth in the Christian faith. Of course, making new friends and developing relationships with other group members is a huge part of the Growth Group experience. For more information, or to join a group, please contact Alesha LeBlanc or the church office (214-521-5101). For more detailed information, check out the Growth Groups brochure (in pdf).
Incarnation Men's Fellowship
Men of all ages gather Thursdays at 7:15 a.m. at a local breakfast eatery for fellowship and discussion of everything from Texas football to the Eucharist. The group also plays in a church softball league and gathers for a retreat twice a year.
Incarnation Senior Ministries (ISM)
Parishioners age 65 and over are invited to join peers for a variety of activities throughout the year. Meeting quarterly, the group also participates in Champagne Brunches, Ice Cream Socials or local trips to the theater.
Incarnation Supper Club
This dinner is open to everyone of the parish. It is an opportunity for adults of the Incarnation to get together and enjoy dinner and fellowship in a relaxed, casual setting. We gather approximately six times a year in a parishioner's home for a catered or pot-luck dinner, with a nominal charge to share in the cost of catering.
The Next Group
For parishioners who may have “graduated” from other fellowship groups, The Next Group brings together adults for a relaxing evening of potluck dinners and Christian fellowship. The dinners are held on the fourth Friday of each month from September through May in the homes of members on a rotating basis. Hosts or co-hosts provide an entrée and wine, which are complemented by dishes brought by other members.
POLO (Parents of Little Ones)
This group offers parents of infants through pre-schoolers support, education and service opportunities to encourage the growth and development of healthy, strong Christian families. POLO sponsors numerous activities including: Parents Time Out, New Mom Ministry, First Words Newsletter, year-round playdates, Babysitting Co-op and many others. There are no fees to join and costs are determined by activity.
Primary Pals
Primary Pals is a fellowship group for the families of grade school age children with a mission of building community through activities that bring the family together. From September through May the group meets—generally on the third Saturday—for meals and/or outings including potluck games night and picnics at the Arboretum. In the summer, camp pals keep in touch with Sunday School friends through weekly activities from pool parties to movie dates. Costs vary by event.
Sunday Breakfast at Incarnation
What better way to start Sunday than with fellow parishioners and a hearty country-style breakfast? Each Sunday the buffet is served in the Great Hall Dining Room from 8:00 a.m. to 9:10 a.m., at a nominal cost of $2.50 for a light breakfast, $5.00 for the full breakfast or $2.50 for children under ten. Regardless of size, no family pays more than $15.00.
Welcome Ministry
The Welcome Ministry invites you to stop by for a visit Sunday mornings in the Welcome Center located across from the Bookstore. Designed for newcomers and visitors, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Church and its programs, as well as meet several parishioners.
Young Married Families Fellowship
This group, for couples with infants and toddlers, requires only a real ability to relax and have a good time. Monthly social and dinner events are held at the homes of host members at a typical cost of $10.00 or less per person.
