Interfaith Housing Coalition

This Fall, the Church of the Incarnation is starting a partnership with Interfaith Housing Coalition. As explained in greater detail at www.interfaithhousingcoalition.org, "Interfaith Housing Coalition utilizes an all-encompassing approach to addressing the key issues of homeslessness. They provide furnished apartments, a structured Employment Program, and training in employment readiness/retention, budgeting and life skills. The Children's Program offers afterschool care, tutoring, evening classes while parents attend training sessions, along with a full-day summer program. In addition, on-site psychological and pastoral counseling is available for both adults and children."

The Church of the Incarnation will be taking on a few projects this Spring to start our ministry with Interfaith. They will be Angel Food Ministry days. This ministry helps by offering food at low prices to families just getting back on their feet.

We will also be shepherding a family through the journey they are undertaking as they enter the stringent program at Interfaith. We will be with them from the beginning of setting up their new home to finding a job and be a support system for them as they transition to self sufficiency. We would love to have you start this wonderful partnership with us. If you are looking for a new way to be involved in the Church of the Incarnation Outreach Ministry, If you are interested in these opportunities, please contact Liz Johson or Outreach Department or return to Outreach Home.

Last year we did a grounds clean up day at Interfaith.  Here are some pictures.
