Service Descriptions At Incarnation, we offer a variety of services that provide not only choices in the type of worship but also many opportunities to take an active part. Sundays at the Church of the Incarnation offer six services, each with its own reverent character. Those seeking quieter and more meditative worship may come at 7:30 a.m. for Traditional Spoken or “Low Mass;” or in the evenings for Evensong and Eucharist at 5:00 p.m. The Holy Eucharist is celebrated in the Main Church at 9:00 a.m. with music sung by the congregation and the St. Gregory Choir. At 9:00 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel, the Family Eucharist is celebrated for families with slightly older children. Music is often provided by the Chapel Band. The Bethlehem Chapel service at 9:00 a.m. is for children aged three to six. The Gospel is told in story form and Communion is shared in a way accessible for young children. Parents may choose to stay or worship in one of the other services. If music is especially important to your worship, the 11:15 a.m. Choral Eucharist in the Main Church features Incarnation's internationally renowned Chancel Choir. The first Sunday of each month, and on other special occasions, the choir sings a choral setting of the Eucharist. Uptown @ Incarnation services are at 11:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in Memorial Chapel. It is a contemporary service that emphasizes practical and relevant preaching in a casual environment and style. For more information, please go to Uptown. During the week, The Holy Eucharist is celebrated each day, Monday through Saturday, in the Memorial Chapel with the Church’s healing ministries offered during the Wednesday services. Special concerns of the church and individual parishioners are prayed for daily at each Eucharist. Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer are also said on various days. Sacramental Confession is offered in the Memorial Chapel at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays or at other times by appointment with any one of the Incarnation clergy.
