Traditional Services

7:30 a.m. Traditional Service with Holy Communion

Start the day with a quiet spoken service. The traditional, Prayer Book liturgy at its most simple, with a sermon but without hymns, in the reverent atmosphere of the main church. This service is popular with parishioners who are nature’s early birds, or who want to avoid the crowds later in the day. The liturgy service lasts about 45 minutes.

9:00 a.m. Family Traditional Service in the main Church

Our largest service, everyone is invited to join us in this traditional-language Communion service taken from the Book of Common Prayer. Great hymns, Holy Communion, a marvelous choir and a dynamic sermon. Children are welcome, and kids ages 3 – 1st grade are welcome to participate in Kingdom Kids for the first half of the liturgy, and then join their families for Holy Communion (click here to find out more). Christian Formation classes for all ages are available following the service (click here to see a listing of Sunday classes for adults).

11:15 a.m. Full Choral Service

Led by one of the finest choirs in the country, this is traditional, Anglican liturgy at its best, with a dynamic sermon. Approximately once a month, the Chancel Choir will offer a Mass setting, where the fixed portions of the liturgy (the Gloria, Sanctus and Agnus Dei) are set to music by a composer.

5:00 p.m. Choral Evensong and Holy Communion in the Church

Incarnation is only place in Dallas where Choral Evensong is offered every Sunday (September-May). The Daily Office of Evening Prayer set to music is one of the most significant contributions of the Anglican & Prayer Book tradition and the context for some of the most glorious pieces in the English choral tradition. A simple celebration of Holy Communion occurs directly following the Office in the Good Shepherd Chapel of the main church. On the first and third Sundays, the full choir sings. The men’s choir leads the congregation on the second and fourth Sundays.

Child care is available for all our Sunday services except the 7:30 a.m. Communion.

A family breakfast takes place in the Dining Room at 8 a.m.
